Caring for your Synthetic Weave
Wash your hair regularly to avoid build up of dirt and styling products that can cause your extensions to slip and look dull. While washing, concentrate your cleaning focus on your scalp. Apply a leave-in conditioner to help with detangling your extensions after washing. Detangling should always begin at the ends of your hair and move toward your scalp.
Use moisturising spray for regular conditioning. These sprays are created especially for extensions and can also be used on Kanekalon hair. Spray your hair every two to three days to keep your hair moisturised and soft without creating excessive product buildup. This hair can be heated and styled as you please.
Caring for your Virgin Premium Extentions
Treat the hair as if it is your own. Use a flat iron/straightener or tongs, even when fitted, but as with your own hair, never use hot tools too often as you could dry the hair and it will not last as long. We do not recommend using hot tools that are higher than 170°C. We highly recommend using a heat protectant before using hot tools.
Always brush your hair before you shampoo and condition your hair. We also recommend using a deep conditioning hair treatment on them every few weeks, because the hair is not attached to your scalp it is not getting the oils it should be. Using a treatment/hair mask will help keep your extensions looking healthier and shiny for longer! You will find that you don't need to wash your extensions too much, about every 2-3 weeks. The extensions can be air dried when possible so as not to use too much heat, it is not recommended adding too much heat to your hair too often. It is best to let your hair extensions dry naturally after washing them.
We do not recommend cutting your wefts when installing, as this will cause your hair to shed. If you have curly hair, straightening the hair may cause the original curl pattern to change, it’s important to know this before hand. If you would like to dye or colour your hair, please be advised to get a professional to assist you, the incorrect colour processing may lead to your hair being damages, shedding and tangling.
